Ever notice how the opponent of the home team is identified at the hockey arena? Visitors, Guests or Away usually appear on the change room assignment board, game sheet, clock or team bench. Which term does your rink use? Which one is correct?
Here's the definitions of each.
Visitors:
Persons who visit, as for reasons of friendship, business, duty, travel, or the like
Guests:
A group who is a recipient of hospitality at the home of another.
Away:
From a particular thing or place
Played on an opponent's field or grounds or arena
One's own ground
Relating to a team's sponsoring institution or to the place where it is franchised
